About Me

As the wife and mother of three incredible grown women, I have dedicated my life to nurturing and supporting others. For 25 years, I served as a school counselor, guiding students through their academic and personal challenges. Most recently, I had the honor of serving as the crisis counselor for the Tillamook School District, providing critical support to our school community during some of its most difficult times.

Advocacy has always been at the heart of my work, especially for women and teenagers. Now, as an empty nester, I’ve been reflecting on how much this community has shaped who I am and how I can continue to give back in my role as mayor.

Beyond my deep love for Wheeler, I remain an active member of the Tillamook County Rotary Club, collaborating with others who are passionate about improving our community. Over the years, I have served on numerous committees dedicated to bettering the community I call home, including the Las Vegas Gang Task Force and a grant-funded violence reduction program for youth. I also had the privilege of interning at an education reform organization, which took me to Washington, DC, where I learned the fine art of compromise.

As mayor, I am committed to continuing my lifelong dedication to service. I will bring my experience, compassion, and dedication to our village, working with all of you to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. I look forward to serving as your mayor and contributing to Wheeler's growth and well-being in new and meaningful ways.

Dear Neighbors,

As someone who has dedicated my life to supporting and nurturing my community, both as a counselor and a local advocate, I am running for mayor to continue this work on a broader scale. I believe in Wheeler's potential and am committed to ensuring our town continues to remain a safe, vibrant, and prosperous place for everyone.

My platform is built on the foundation of preserving Wheeler’s unique charm while addressing the key challenges that we face. I am committed to fostering a strong local economy, protecting our environment, ensuring transparency in governance, and maintaining the safety and well-being of our residents.

Support for Small Businesses

Small businesses are the backbone of Wheeler's economy. I will work to support our established businesses and help new ones thrive while staying connected to our community's values and interests. I’ve heard concerns from residents about abandoned buildings potentially becoming a haven for squatters. I am committed to reinforcing the regulations our city council has already put in place to prevent these buildings from remaining neglected. These abandoned properties do not align with the vision we have for Wheeler.

Preservation of Wetlands and Wheeler View

Our natural surroundings are a treasure, not just for us but for future generations. I will work tirelessly to protect our wetlands and Wheeler View, advocating for responsible development that respects and preserves our environment.

Transparency and Accountability in Water Billing

I’ve heard your concerns about high water bills and intend to be actively involved in understanding the factors behind these costs. My goal is to ensure transparency and work toward fair and just rates for everyone.

Increased and Effective Police Presence

While funding is a challenge, I am dedicated to exploring creative solutions to support our police presence throughout Wheeler and continue to support the safety of Highway 101. At the same time, I will work to promote community activities that can help reduce crime and enhance the safety of our beautiful town.

As your mayor...

I bring a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to every role I take on. With years of experience in public service, I approach the role of Mayor with a dedication to moving our community forward.

My background in grant writing, developed alongside my husband in both Nevada and Oregon, has given me a strong understanding of the funding process, helping us secure vital resources for important community projects. This expertise will serve Wheeler as we work to bring more opportunities and support to our town.

As your Mayor, I believe in leading with integrity, making decisions based on what’s best for our community while always adhering to the rules and processes that ensure we get things done efficiently. I value transparency, accountability, and thoughtful decision-making.

With over 25 years in education as a mental health counselor and teacher, I bring a unique skill set to the table. I understand the policies that guide public agencies and have honed my ability to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life—whether we agree on every issue or not. My focus is always on fostering collaboration, listening to all voices, and finding solutions that work for everyone.

I’m ready to continue serving this community, working with you to make Wheeler a stronger, more connected place for all of us.
